The recent WSIA President report states Boating Deaths are down 26% and Boating Accidents have lowered 11.5% since 2011. These positive statistics are thanks to the Boat Responsibility safety program started by the WSIA (Water Sports Industry Association), Water Sports Foundation, and the USCG 3 years ago. A variety of efforts from print ads in popular boating magazines, a strong new web presence, & social media support has fueled this campaign to bring boating deaths down.
